Silver Cowrie Pendant

A silver cowrie pendant is a symbol of good luck and fortune in many cultures. Cowrie shells have been used as currency in many parts of the world for centuries. They are also considered to be a symbol of fertility and abundance. In some cultures, cowrie shells are believed to have the power to ward off evil spirits.

One of the members of staff at Hebridean Jewellery was often found on the local beach, picking up and collecting shells. When she brought in some of the cowrie shells to the workshop, an idea was born and the local cowrie shell was made into a fabulous piece of jewellery. This pendant brings our dear friend to mind and we love selling it in her honour!

Handcrafted in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland by Hebridean Jewellery.

Supplied in a lovely jewellery box.

The shell is approximately 12mm by 6mm they vary in size.
